Prayer: A Conversation with God
We read in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” But what does it mean to pray without ceasing? Is that even possible in our world today where so many people are pulling for our attention both in person, on our phones and via multiple electronic devices? Or was it only possible to have that kind of relationship with God “back in the day”?
On June 4, we will be starting a two-week sermon series entitled “Prayer: A Conversation with God” and the series will include:
June 4 – Week One: Let’s Talk
June 11 – Week Two: I’m Listening
Let’s start our summer remembering what it means to be in connection, community, and conversation with God!

God in HD
Who is God? What is God like? How can we even know about a transcendent and supernatural God? Thankfully, God has revealed himself to us through the Scriptures, and ultimately through Jesus himself whom the Scriptures testify. Throughout the Bible, God has revealed himself through a variety of roles – Creator, King, Father, Redeemer and others. In isolation these roles give us a partial glimpse of God, but together, they provide a high-definition view of who God is and what he’s like. Furthermore, these roles help us better understand ourselves and what it means to be in relationship with this transcendent and supernatural God who longs for us to know him. Join us as we get a clearer, fuller picture of the God of the Bible!
