"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

-Galatians 6:2
We all need care from time-to-time. A clear way for the church to be Christ's hands and feet in a suffering world is to care for one another—the sick, the hurt, and the needy.

GriefShare Meetings

The Fall 2024 session of GriefShare will begin August 20 and runs for 13-weeks. We will meet every Tuesday evening 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Upper Family Life Center.

Each week the group will watch a GriefShare video covering topics essential to your recovery from the hurt of grief and loss. Videos feature interviews with grief recovery experts, mini-dramas, on-location video, and real-life stories of people who have experienced the death of a loved one.

To sign up, go to griefshare.com, in the “find a group” box, type in TROY IL, click on Troy Methodist Church, click on “register for this group”, type in your email address and you will receive an invitation to join our group.

If you have questions, contact Care Pastor, Dan Perry.

Join the Care Ministry

You can be a part of "bearing one another's burdens," in big ways or small ways. Troy Methodist Church provides care in the following ways:

Care Team
Call, email, or visit people who are experiencing health issues or are shut-in at home.
Card Team
Write and send cards to people who are going through illnesses, loss, births, or health issues.
Meal Team
Supply meals for families in need of short-term help.
Communion Team
Take communion to those who can't come to church.
Expectant Mom Team
Help keep us informed on church members who are expecting or delivering a baby, and help get baby baskets to their homes.

If you're interested in providing care in one of these ways, please contact Pastor Dan.
