Meet the Troy Methodist Church Staff Team

Rev. Dr. Andy Adams
Senior Pastor
As the chief shepherd of TroyMC, Andy preaches, leads the staff, and works with administrative leadership teams to set the vision and direction of the church’s ministries. Andy has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, an MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury. Andy has lived most his life in Champaign, IL, where he helped plant a church. Besides being a sci-fi nerd (think Trekkie) and board game geek, Andy loves vacationing with his wife, Amy Jo, and two children, Andrew and Anna.

Rev. Dan Perry
Care Pastor
Dan oversees care ministry – visiting those who are sick or shut-in, sending cards, supplying meals and baby baskets, and more. Dan has an MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary and a BA in Music Education from Millikin University. Dan has served in churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Illinois and is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the Rivers of Life Clergy Band. Dan currently resides in Highland, IL, with his wife, Carol – they have two adult children, Liz and Matt.

Rev. Kurt Stone
Associate Pastor–Student Ministry
Kurt serves students and their families through Troy MC’s New Life Student Ministry. He leads Sunday morning classes, Wednesday night youth group, special events, annual Confirmation Class, and summer programs and mission trips. Kurt has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville and an MDiv from Saint Paul School of Theology. Kurt and his wife, Linda, have four children–Elizabeth, Rachel, Grace, and Daniel–and are both musky hunters. Kurt and Linda placed 3rd in the 2019 Women’s and 2019 Men’s Divisions for muskies caught at Lake St. Clair, Ontario.

Tim Price
Minister of Modern Worship Arts
Tim organizes the worship team for the 10:30 services and oversees the worship leaders, tech team, Sunday morning hospitality, and other areas of service. Tim has an MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary and a BA in Organizational Communication from McKendree University. Tim lives in Troy with his wife, Suzanne, and two daughters, Ruby and Macy, but loves to travel – he has visited 47 states and six countries.
