Does Jesus still perform miracles today?

That must have been going through Peter and John’s mind when they were approaching the Temple for prayer and were engaged by a man who had been lame from birth. They had just experienced the power of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, but today that power would be put to the test. Could Jesus perform miracles even when he wasn’t present? How would you answer that question? Maybe after this Sunday you will answer it differently.
