Faith Extended: Corinth (Part 1) - Staying When Its Hard

Jul 5, 2026    Andy Adams

Have you ever wanted to quit? Sometimes you give and give of yourself and simply don’t see the fruit you hoped to see. This can be true when living our faith outwardly - it can sometimes feel like we’re not seeing any results. In your discouragement, you may wonder if it’s worth the effort.

Paul was feeling this way when he arrived in Corinth. He had been run out of Thessalonica and Berea, sneered at in Athens, and now he was facing opposition and abuse in Corinth. He had had enough and was at the end of his rope. It would have been easy for Paul to abandon his missionary journey or at least move on from Corinth. But God often calls us to stay even when it’s hard.

Join us this Sunday to celebrate Holy Communion and be encouraged by God to never give up living our faith outwardly even when we feel like quitting.
