Jesus and Those Who Suffer
The holiday season isn’t a joyful time for everyone. In fact, for those whose hearts are hurting because of loneliness and grief, Christmas can be especially difficult. Could it be that you are feeling lost or alone this Christmas? If so, you may be able to take comfort in the truth that Jesus was born into a world filled with suffering and even a sense of hopelessness. This is captured in one of the most heart wrenching stories surrounding Christ’s birth: Herod’s execution of the infants in Bethlehem. But even in the midst of suffering, there is hope. Join us this Sunday at Troy Methodist Church as we discover the Advent hope of Christ in the midst of suffering.
This December 16% of all our offerings will be split amongst four worthy ministries. You’ve already heard about Ministries Unlimited and New Room Church. This week we and draw your attention to our third recipients: those who have suffered and continue to face significant rebuilding challenges after the devastation of hurricanes Helene and Milton. Together, let’s join the Advent Conspiracy to worship Jesus fully, spend less, give more, and love all.
