Lent Prayer Initiative

During the season of Lent, we are providing meaningful ways for you to encounter God in prayer.

On Wednesday mornings, from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m., you are invited to the Sanctuary for prayer with Pastor Bonnie. During this time, you will have the opportunity to prayer walk, pray in silence, or pray together. Everyone is invited! Parents with kids – feel free to drop in and pray with Pastor Bonnie and Micah on your way to school!

Additionally, on Wednesdays, the Sanctuary will be open for prayer between 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for you to spend one on one time with God.

You are also encouraged to set an alarm on your phone for daily prayer at 4:16 p.m. The Word of God reminds us in 2 Corinthians 4:16 that, “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” Spend just a few moments daily in pursuit of being renewed by God. Pray for a soft heart, petition for others, sit in silence and listen for God to speak. My prayer for our church is that we would know that God is with us and that He longs for us to be in relationship with Him through prayer!

Good Friday Service

Friday, April 18, 6:30 p.m., Family Life Center

Join us in the Family Life Center at 6:30 p.m. as we share in the passion of Jesus’ last hours in this powerful “Service of Shadows.” We will reflect on and remember the depth of pain and suffering that Jesus endured on our behalf. We will walk through the Scriptures and experience soul-moving music during this unforgettable worship. We will conclude with silent communion and depart in quiet reflection. There is no childcare, but the service is suitable for all ages.

SECOND EXODUS

The Story of Our Deliverance

The Exodus, God delivering his people from slavery in Egypt to make them  his treasured possession, is the foundational, identity-defining event for God’s people in the Old Testament. Throughout their history, particularly during difficult times, God’s people continued to look back and reflect on what God had done to save them. But they also looked forward, longing for a greater deliverance and knowing that God had greater plans for them. That hope and longing is the backdrop for God’s Second Exodus – Jesus, the promised suffering servant who came to be faithful when Israel had not, and lay down
his life as a Passover lamb, to deliver all people from the bondage of sin and death. As we journey to the cross during the Lenten season, we will explore this hope and longing and the ways Jesus leads a Second Exodus: The Story of Our Deliverance.

    March 9: A Lament with Hope – Psalm 77
    March 16: Second Chances – Isaiah 40:1-5
March 23: Jesus, Our True Deliverer – Matthew 3:1-4:22
March 30: A New Way of Life – The Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5-7
